Canadian Major Dailies
Canadian Major Dailies offers unparalleled access to the full text of nearly 300 newspapers from Canada's leading publishers, including The Globe and Mail.

This full text database includes the complete available electronic backfile for most newspapers, providing full access to the articles, columns, editorials, and features.  Some backfiles date as far back as the late 1970s and 1980s. Canadian Newsstand content is updated daily so researchers always have timely access to new information.

The core of the database is the Canadian Major Dailies collection which includes national and leading regional newspapers such as The Globe and Mail, National Post, Montreal Gazette, Ottawa Citizen, Toronto Star, Regina Leader Post, Edmonton Journal, Vancouver Sun and the Victoria Times Colonist. The MDLP subscribes to the Canadian Newsstand Prairies package which also includes the Winnipeg Free Press.

Canadian Mental Health Association. Saskatchewan Division
Users can clickthrough to the library catalogue which has many resources; provides contact info for the regional offices of the Assoc., and provides links about many mental health issues. Library material can be borrowed by both individuals and organisations after they register and perhaps pay a fee.

Canadian Research Index
Canadian Research Index™ includes federal, provincial, and municipal documents such as depository publications of research value issued by the federal government, the ten provinces, and two of the three territories; hard to find non-depository publications issued by hundreds of Canadian government agencies and departments; scientific and technical report literature issued by research institutes and government laboratories; policy, social, economic, and political reports; Statistics Canada monographs, and serials. Charity Central
A project of the Legal Resource Centre of Alberta, designed to help Canada's Registered Charities understand their responsibilities under the Income Tax Act. Provides information and resource materials (in English and French) to Registered Charities to help them comply with the requirements of the Act. It was launched in 2008 and will conclude in March 2010.

Dictionary of Canadian Biography
Provides authoritative biographical information on Canada's historical figures. The first phase presents persons who died between the years 1000 and 1930 or whose last known date of activity falls within these years.
